Jon Balke was born 7 june 1955 in Norway. main instruments piano, percussion and cello. He teaches music production at the Norwegian Academy of music and has been a central voice in european contemporary music with a series of albums on ECM records etc. He has composed numerous works for art installations, theatre and film , and has developed extensive work for electronic media.
